Additionally, their newest offshoot is an LA-based lifestyle-forward brand, offering consumer goods in ultra-luxury furniture and decor.

Description

Seeking a self-driven Accounting Manager with creative or hiring agency experience, to manage the finances of three cutting-edge start-ups. The ideal candidate is someone with strong numerical skills, capable of overseeing and driving the financial operations of all three of our companies while thriving in a startup environment and being eager to grow alongside the teams toward a long-term position.

Responsibilities

    Oversee financial accounts, budgets, and assets
    Process payroll and report payroll taxes for the organization
    Process vendor payments and check requests
    Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P)
    Manage financial transactions, debts, and cash flow forecasting
    Maintain the company's books
    Liaise with CPAs in the preparation of tax returns and all tax-related matters
    Update financial spreadsheets and reports weekly with the latest available data
    Plan, implement, and supervise the company's financial strategy
    Review contracts, handle budgets, negotiate costs with third-party vendors, build POs, track spending, and effectively communicate at the executive level, with partners, and stakeholders
    Provide strong financial acumen when asked to analyze sales growth initiatives, operations, spending, product pricing and positioning (furniture startup), investments, and more
    Assist in formulating future business directions by contributing to business plans, tax strategies, budgeting tactics, and revenue forecasts
    Set comprehensive sales performance and growth goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
    Schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees, providing minimal HR duties

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Economics
    MBA, CPA, and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
    2-4 years of related financial experience
    Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
    Experience working in the luxury fashion and/or agency industry is preferred but not required
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Ability to work directly with very distinguished clients and executives
    Ability to multitask and prioritize duties across three companies within a reasonable time frame
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    A natural curiosity and a "big picture" mentality
    A thick skin and the ability to handle direct criticism without sugar-coating
    Must be located in Los Angeles
