Description
Seeking an experienced and forward-thinking marketing leader with strong business acumen to drive brand growth, shape strategic partnerships, and elevate presence in the design and lifestyle space. The Director of Marketing will oversee all aspects of branding, communications, and marketing strategy, managing external PR agencies (domestic and global) and guiding the internal social and marketing manager.
This role requires a business-minded marketer with proven experience in high-end design, production, and e-commerce. A strong focus on ROI, innovation, and partnerships is essential. The ideal candidate is also enthusiastic about leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to advance operational and creative efficiency.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
•Develop and execute a holistic marketing strategy to grow brand awareness, engage new audiences, and drive revenue.
•Lead inventive marketing initiatives, campaigns, and collaborations that reflect the brand’s creative DNA.
•Identify and pursue opportunities for expansion through bold, forward-thinking strategies.
PR & Communications
•Oversee domestic and international PR partners, ensuring brand alignment and messaging consistency.
•Act as the internal lead for media and press relations, driving storytelling across all channels.
•Collaborate on high-impact PR campaigns and strategic press opportunities.
Team Leadership
•Manage and mentor the in-house Social and Marketing Manager.
•Guide team execution to ensure innovation, alignment, and campaign performance.
•Partner closely with Sales to align marketing with business objectives.
Substack Oversight
•Lead strategy and content direction for the studio’s newly launched Substack.
•Drive audience engagement through compelling storytelling and cross-channel promotion.
•Monitor performance and optimize for growth and brand resonance.
Brand & Storytelling
•Elevate brand presence across all touchpoints with consistent, editorial-caliber storytelling.
•Direct narrative and content for marketing campaigns, digital platforms, and product launches.
Partnerships & Collaborations
•Identify and secure high-value collaborations with brands, creatives, and institutions.
•Oversee execution of co-branded projects, events, and activations that generate impact and ROI.
•Cultivate a presence across fashion, design, hospitality, and art sectors.
Global Brand Expansion
•Build and implement strategies for global growth and market entry.
•Tailor marketing efforts to regional nuances while protecting brand integrity.
•Lead international campaigns, events, and activations in key cultural hubs.
