Seeking an exceptional Managing Editor to lead a Substack-based storytelling platform where design, travel, architecture, interiors, art, and culture converge. Responsibilities
Editorial Leadership
•Develop and manage the editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality, brand-aligned stories
•Conceptualize and pitch feature ideas that span design, travel, architecture, interiors, art, and culture
•Commission, brief, and edit work from freelance writers, photographers, and other contributors
•Ensure all content meets brand standards for tone, quality, and visual integration
Content Production & Project Management
•Oversee multiple editorial projects from ideation to final delivery
•Collaborate with internal design, marketing, and digital teams to ensure content is visually compelling and publication-ready
•Manage contributor timelines, deliverables, and creative direction
•Align Substack content with broader brand initiatives and platforms
Brand & Voice Stewardship
•Maintain and evolve the editorial voice in alignment with the platform’s core aesthetic and values
•Monitor cultural and design trends to keep content relevant, timely, and differentiated
•Work closely with the founder to refine story concepts and ensure the editorial reflects their creative vision
