Description

Seeking a detail-oriented Operations Associate with a strong financial background. This role will focus on supporting daily business operations, managing financial processes, and ensuring efficiency across internal workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience in finance, accounting, or business operations, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work cross-functionally within the organization.

Responsibilities

    Assist with processing invoices, managing payments, and submitting payroll.
    Handle onboarding paperwork for new employees.
    Maintain accurate records of all invoices.
    Serve as the main point of contact for the Business Manager.
    Manage office operations, including ordering supplies and communicating with building management.
    Submit invoices to advertising representatives for receivables and follow up as needed.
    Manage issue-specific P&Ls and contribute to yearly budget planning.
    Communicate with outside vendors regarding outstanding invoices and payments.
    Work with the Managing Director to oversee distribution for each issue, aligning with orders and projected Shopify sales.
    Oversee order fulfillment within the office.
    Lead outreach efforts to secure new distributors and expand the magazine’s distribution network.

Qualifications

    2-4 years of experience in operations, finance, or business administration.
    Strong proficiency in Excel, financial software, and data analysis tools.
    Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with teams.
    Experience in media, fashion, or creative industries is a plus.
