Description

Seeking a Senior Interior Designer with experience across private residential, luxury hospitality, and restaurant projects to join a collaborative and design-driven team. This role requires a highly creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual who can both lead design vision and act as a project manager across multiple high-end interiors projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong conceptual approach, excellent spatial and material sensibility, and a proven ability to guide teams through all phases of design. This role is heavily focused on FF&E, so a deep background in material sourcing, furniture design, and custom specification is essential — along with a passion for interiors, clear communication skills, and an elevated aesthetic point of view.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage interior design teams across multiple projects, ensuring all deliverables are met according to defined schedules and project goals.
Serve as a key client-facing lead—collaborating directly with clients, architects, contractors, developers, and artisans throughout all phases of the design process.
Oversee material sourcing and specification, custom furniture design, and FF&E selection.
Develop compelling visual presentations, mood boards, and design narratives that align with the creative direction and client vision.
Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring seamless execution and on-brand outcomes.
Contribute to comprehensive project documentation including drawing sets, specifications, schedules, and technical documents.
Support and oversee construction administration tasks, including submittals, RFIs, ASI/IDSK review and coordination with consultants and vendors.

Qualifications

8–10 years of experience in interior design or architecture, with a strong focus on high-end residential, hospitality, or restaurant projects.
Deep passion for design with a refined aesthetic sensibility and keen eye for detail.
Strong hand sketching and rendering skills to communicate ideas visually and conceptually.
Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of the design process, including Concept, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation.
High proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and adaptability to the evolving needs of the design team.
Significant experience in Construction Administration (CA), including submittals, RFIs, ASI/IDSK review/response, and coordination with consultants.
Familiarity with AI-powered design tools and platforms (e.g., Krea, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Perplexity, Visual Electric) is a plus.
Willingness to travel for domestic and international project needs.
